Wireless Services Corp. this week announced the launch of its new GotSports personalized information service that sends real-time sports news and info to pagers, e-mail and PCS phones. The service goes a step beyond the current sports headline services operating for pagers by giving details such as weather conditions prior to gametime, starters, and final scores within minutes after the game. It also offers "soft" news, such as post-game summaries, trades, injury updates and statistics. Users can customize the service so it provides them with only the information they want about specific teams and players.
