Wireless Services Corporation is pleased to announce several
exciting NEW AirNote Features specifically developed for our 2
Way Users.
2 Way AirNote Acknowledgments
AirNote acknowledgments will not be sent until the Skytel network
has confirmed that the message was received on the 2 way device.
New AirNote 2 Way Commands
These new AirNote commands are available to Skytel 2-Way
Subscribers using the Skytel SkyWriter or Page Writer 2000 device. These commands are
prefixed with a colon ":" to differentiate them from a
message or reply starting with the same words.
The first two commands below (:All and :More) will appear as a
reply option on your AirNote messages. The remaining four are
available to AirNote customers by creating a custom reply.
Your reply choices can be one of the following:
- :All - System appended reply. This will
request that most of the message be sent to the pager.
The upper limit is 3950 characters. The message will be
broken into the appropriate number of 500 character
blocks. This response will break between pages on a word
boundary. This feature is not available if your
Keep Days are set to 0.
- :More - System appended reply. This will
request the next block of the current message. It could
appear with a single digit appended to indicate which
page you are currently on. The next 495 characters of the
message will be sent to your pager. This option does not
break on word boundaries. This feature is not
available if your Keep Days are set to 0.
- :Email - Subscriber must enter as custom reply.
This will email the entire current message to your list
of current forwards. It will override your delivery
schedules. There is no acknowledgment provided. This
feature is not available if your Keep Days are set to 0.
- :Email user@domain.com - Subscriber must enter
as custom reply. This will email the entire current
message to the name specified. To be detected, the name
MUST contain the '@'. There is no acknowledgment
provided. This feature is not available if your Keep Days
are set to 0.
- :Fax - Subscriber must enter as custom reply.
This will send a Fax to the fax number that is in your profile. This
requires that the fax feature be active for your account
and the fax number is a toll free number. There is no
acknowledgment provided. This feature is not available if
your Keep Days are set to 0.
- :Fax 8885551212 - Subscriber must enter as
custom reply. Fax to the fax number that has been
entered. This requires that the fax feature be active for
your account and the fax number is a toll free number. Please do not include
any spaces or dashes (important) in
the phone number. A 10 digit number IS required. There is
no acknowledgment provided. This feature is not available
if your Keep Days are set to 0.
Note with features 3 - 6: These features can be slightly
confused by the reply tag that the pager automatically appends to
a message. If you notice any difficulties, please email support@AirNote.net
and let us know when the message was sent so that we can identify
and correct the problem.
New Configuration Features:
The system will accept the following messages as a
reply to any AirNote message. The AirNote profile that will be
modified will be determined by the PIN of the sending pager.
- :Help - Send a list of valid replies that you can
use to change your configuration and remind you what is
available.
- :Stop - Stop messages from being sent to the
pager. This puts in a temporary delivery schedule that
instructs the system to Ignore all pages.
- :Start - Delete the temporary delivery schedule
created by a :Stop. (resume normal delivery)
- :TimeZone P - Set your current time zone to be
Pacific. Additional letters are (E)astern, (C)entral and
(M)ountain.
- :Hot user@domain.com - Add the name to your hot
list. Asterisks will work as if you had entered them from
the web site.
- :Junk user@domain.com - Add the name to your junk
list. Asterisks will work as if you had entered them from
the web site.
- :Drop user@domain.com - Drop a name from either
the Hot or Junk lists. The name must be entered EXACTLY
as it appears in your filter list for the name to be
deleted.
